Something about us:
We are a group of five people (3 boys and 2 girls). Our habits are probably the same as yours – dancing, sport or just chill in Café. In our school is very important enviromentalism, we have to recycle waste and things like that
About GJP
We attend a secondary school Jan Palach Praha 1, byway GJP. This school was founded in 1991 as a first private secondary school in the Czech Republic. We are four year school and in the end of the merich year we complete the finall exams. In the year 2007 GJP was reconstructed, so now we have a nice school.
But GJP isn´t a big school, here are only 8 classes and about 180 students. GJP is in the middle of a historical part in Prague, precisen in street Pštrossova 13. Near us is the National Theatre, river Vltava whose affluent is Labe. Maybe you can ask why the name school Jan Palach. Jan Palach was a Czech national Ron and student, he fought for student rights, but then he burnt to death. He became famous for his oposition to totality.
River Elbe
- Length : 1154km
- catchment area : 148 268 m3
- Name comes from Celts word elb, wich means big river
- Elbe is one of the richest ecosystems in Europe
- In Elbe lives a lot of plants and animals, for example salmon or beaver
And in the end something about our expectations.
We think and hope that we will meet some new friends from Germany. We can improve our skills in English and in German. And the last and the most important thing is that we know something more about Labe, some of her problems and how to solve them.
We are looking forward to meeting you and hope that we will enjoy it!
